We were defeated by Doon in the Junior B hurling championship last Saturday night in Cappamore on the scoreline: Knockane 0-11, Doon 5-3. It was another disappointing championship campaign. Despite conceding 3 early goals , we battled back to within 2 points at the interval through points from Anthony O'Grady and Willie O'Donnell
Doon struck for their fourth goal after the break to seal the tie, points from James O'Connor and Fergal Grace kept the match competitive until the end, but our failure to score the vital goals put paid to our championship hopes for 2002.
