June - July 2000
Continuing preparations for the forthcoming championship with challenge matches being played in both hurling and football. Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday night at 8.00pm. Up to date match reports appear on the League 2000 web page. In the football championship we are meeting Oola in the first round, while Ahane will provide the opposition in the hurling championship.
A Players and Selectors Meeting was held on July 8th in Garrydoolis N.S. A number of issues were raised on the night, most based around the poor turn out for training and recent challenge matches. There was a good turnout on the night and it was decided to start again for the next month and improve training and match performance in the run up to the championship.
Aug - Sept 2000
Continuing preparations for the championship following the great victory over Oola in the football championship. We await the winners of Kilteely and South Liberties, with the semi-final winners meeting Ballybricken or Cappamore. Check League 2000 web page for news of recent challenges. News from the championship matches can be found at champ2000.html. A Table Quiz is planned for mid-September. Training is continuing every Tuesday and Thursday night with a good turnout on average every night.
Oct - Nov 2000
Continuing preparations for the championship following our victory over Kilteely\Dromkeen in the semi-final replay in the football championship. We suffered defeat to Ballybricken in the east final on Sun. 1st October in Caherconlish by 2-11 to 1-7.

The county quarter-final against Ballybrown (City Champions) was fixed for Sun. 15th Oct. The result went Ballybrown's way in an evenly contested game 2-3 to 3-5. On 6th November the club will hold an Amateur Tug-O-War Tournament. More details will be posted on this page closer to the event.
