OCT - NOV - DEC 2005
The Club's A.G.M. now takes place on Thurs. 29th Dec at 8.30pm in Garrydoolis N.S. The AGM was finally re-arranged for Jan 2nd 2006.
Neighbours Pallasgreen put in a great display against Carbery Rangers in Pairc ui Rinn, Cork on Wed. 21st Dec only to be defeated by 1-10 to 1-7 in the Munster Club Intermediate Football Championship final in an exciting game. Kitty Condon, Garrydoolis won €150 in the Limerick Development Draw.
As a mark of respect to the late John Horan, Garrisson, Old Pallas (RIP), the club has deferred it's A.G.M. from Saturday 17th Dec. at Garrydoolis N.S.
The re-scheduled AGM will be announced soon.
Congratulations to Larry Beary, Kilduff on his recent club award as part of the Old Time Gaels of East Limerick.
"From underneath the shadow of Sarsfield's Rock came Larry Beary. Knockane was a noted football stronghold when Larry was playing and he was on the Knockane team which won South Junior honours in 1951. With neighbouring Pallasgreen, he won East Junior and Minor medals, and he was Club Treasurer from 1953 to 1955. He occupied the same position with St. Mary's of London and played both codes with Brian Borus. Treaty Gaels, a Limerick based emigrants club in London won his backing, and for some years he was involved in the Limerickmen's Association in London." © Limerick Leader
The newly formed Knockane girls Football club - Cumann na mBan held a very successful Table Quiz in The Idler Bar, Knockane on Fri. 4th Nov. The winning team was: Dan, Pauline & John Quinn, Knockane and Danny Beary, Barna.
Knockane - Kilteely/Dromkeen Lotto (17th Oct.) was run in aid of the Niall Mellon Township Project. Over €1000 was donated by the club to the fund.
About the Project: Over the course of a forthnight at the end of October/start November 2005, 700 Irish and British volunteers will be building houses for some of the poorest people in South Africa. Their aim is to build at least 100 brick homes for the shack dwellers in a Cape Town township. For more information about the project goto: http://www.irishtownship.com

On Tues. 2nd August, we faced Emly in a Junior B Football Tournament Match as part of Emly Failte Week 2005. Emly emerged winners after an exciting game to claim the Ailbe Houlihan Memorial Cup on the Scoreline; Emly 2-7, Knockane 2-5.

JUNE - JULY 2005
35 LIMERICK sports club will benefit from the two million euro sports lottery grants, announced by Sports Minister, John O’Donoghue. Knockane GAA Club is to receive €8,000. Michael English, Templebraden won €150 in the Limerick Development Draw for July.

In preparation for the hurling championship we played a number of challenge matches against Blackrock, Doon, Bruree and Cappawhite. See some pictures below.
James Byrnes, Ballyrobin, Cullen was the second winner of the Knockane - Kilteely/Dromkeen GAA Lotto when he scooped the top prize in July.
Mike McGrath, Duncummin and Paddy Burke, Carrikettle won €150 in the Limerick Development Draw for June. Simon Breen, Dunvullen, Caherline was the club's winner of the top prize in the Limerick Development Draw for May winning a car or €14,000. Mike Joe Ryan, Ballyneety also won €150 in the draw.

The club lotto was also won for the first time by Pat Fitzgerald, Doon - a man who has given us great assistance in setting up the lotto. Photo of presentation will be added later. In preparation for hurling championship, we defeated Blackrock by 2-9 to 2-8 in Kilfinnane on Tue. 7th June
APR - MAY 2005
Knockane GAA Club in association with Kilteely/Dromkeen GAA Club launched their club lotto last weekend at the Idler Bar, Knockane. Special guests that attended on the night included county chairman: Denis Holmes, Limerick hurlers: TJ & Donie Ryan and Cork camogie star Lynn Dunlea.

The lotto is the latest fund raising initiative by the clubs and they are appealing for support from the local community as well as gaels throughout the county. The first Draw will take place on Monday 23rd May and tickets will be widely available from all club players, committee members and local businesses.

Congratulations to Paddy Dawson, Cullen on winning a prize in the Limerick Development Draw.
Limerick football star John Galvin along with Helen O'Rourke, chief executive of Ladies central council, Marie Halvey secretary of the Munster Ladies board and club officials visited Garrydoolis N.S. to promote the upcoming Feile Peile na Nóg competition within the county. The opening of the extension to Garrydoolis NS by Minister for Defense Willie O'Dea will take place on Sun. June 5th at 11.30am. All are welcome. Maeve Boland and Tomás Condon represented the county at Mosney last weekend both qualifying for their respective finals.

FEB - MAR 2005
The club wishes to thank everybody who supporting the Limerick Development Draw over the past few weeks. This venture is our main source of income every year.
An important Players meeting took place on Saturday 19th February at 8.30pm in Garrydoolis N.S. A large number of players attended on the night. we have decided to enter the All County League Division 5 which is due to begin in April.
The Club won a total of €1250 in the Limerick GAA Development Draw for February . Club member Mike O'Donoghue also won €150 in the draw.
Closing date for club membership is 31st March 2005, all players please note that only those who have paid their membership will be allowed play.
