(Hosted by Pallasgreen/Templebraden Historical Society) at Garrydoolis National School on the Life of Patrick Sarsfield, with an introduction by Lord Bellew – descendant of Sarsfield. Talk given by Liam Irwin, Historian.

‘Service For Peace’

at Templebraden Church with Fr. Patrick Burns PP, Templebraden Church Choir and special guests in a theme of peace ceremony.

Followed immediately by: (in front of Church) Military Parade, Drama, Costumed Riders, Music and the Laying of Wreaths to commemorate the 320th anniversary of the death of Cavalry General Patrick Sarsfield, Defender of Limerick and Marshal of France at Landen in the Spanish Netherlands (Belgium) in July 1693. Amongst those in attendance will be: Cllr.Kathleen Leddin (Mayor of Limerick), Ms Aurelie Bonal (French Embassy), Mr Michael Aendenhof (Belgian Embassy), Irish Army Colour Party from Sarsfield Barracks, Limerick. St Marys CBS Pipe Band (wearing the Clan Stewart ‘Jacobite’ tartan), the Patrick Sarsfield branch of O.N.E. Musicians and performers will be Ailbe Grace (Accordion/Whistle), Liam Carey (Percussion), Finbar English (Fiddle) Pat Marnane (Keyboards) and Eamon Harty (Pallasgreen). Lone Piper is Capt. Michael Egan.
